Message from The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of The Republic of Indonesia
Dear travel industry members and friends,
I am pleased to welcome all of you once again to the Tourism Indonesia Mart & Expo (TIME) 2014 which will be held on October 23 – 26, 2014 in Banda Aceh, the capital city of Aceh Province.
Sumatra has six regional gateways, namely Banda Aceh, Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Palembang and Batam. Various destinations in Sumatera are also equipped with a good variety of quality hotels as well as cultural, natural and man-made attractions. Hosting TIME would allow international buyers to take a closer look at the products on offer and aid local tourism stakeholders in selling their products overseas.
I must commend the Organizing Committee of TIME for selecting Banda Aceh to host this year’s TIME as it will be an exciting opportunity for Indonesia to showcase more wonders of Indonesia, beyond Bali.
Indonesia offers travellers all kinds of natural wonders, from white sand beaches, tropical green forest in TanjungPuting, to breathtaking volcanic landscape in Bromo.
